賣家描述
presents a particularly well-preserved theater glass from the German optician Jacob Sachs, Köln und Berlin.
Jacob Sachs (often written Jakob Sachs) was a well-known German court optician who produced high-quality optical instruments in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
He was also appointed as court optician!
The addition “Hofoptiker” (or Hof-Optiker) was a predicate title. It meant that Jacob Sachs was an official supplier for a princely, ducal or royal house (often the Prussian or a regional Rhineland noble house). This title stood for the highest craftsmanship, excellent glass quality and fine mechanics, which is why his pieces are still popular with collectors today.
Ancient pieces from his workshop are today popular collectibles in the category Vintage Optics and Fine Crafts.

The characteristic fine lines ("Schreger-Linien") in the material point to real bone. Very beautiful cream color.
Minimal, barely noticeable indentation on one of the lower lenses – metal.
No mushroom infestation!
