This particular body has been lovingly revitalised with premium red replacement leatherette, transforming a classic photographic tool into a striking aesthetic statement. For European photographers who appreciate Japanese craftsmanship and the legendary rendering of Carl Zeiss T* lenses, the Contax 137 MD offers aperture-priority automatic exposure that lets the optical character of the lens take center stage. When paired with iconic C/Y mount optics such as the Planar 50mm f/1.4 or Tessar 45mm f/2.8, it becomes an inspiring companion for candid street photography, travel, and environmental portraiture. Holding this camera, you will feel the solid mechanical heritage and tactile elegance that modern digital gear simply cannot replicate.

All operational functions have been thoroughly tested and work smoothly. The shutter curtain is in good condition, and the integrated motor drive winds reliably. The viewfinder has tiny dust specks typical of vintage equipment, which do not obscure your composition. The exterior metal shows minor surface scratches and small indentations consistent with careful historic use, now beautifully complemented by the fresh red leather skin.
