Serviced 1973 Seiko Automatic ref. 7005-7001 with a distinctive matte blue crosshair dial, 17-jewel automatic movement, original acrylic crystal and new leather strap.
During the early 1970s, Seiko produced an extensive range of reliable automatic watches combining robust in-house movements with the bold case shapes and colourful dials characteristic of the period.
Manufactured in September 1973, this reference 7005-7001 is particularly attractive due to its deep blue crosshair dial, hollow geometric hour markers and angular cushion-shaped case. Its simple date-only layout gives the watch a clean and well-balanced appearance.

The watch is presented in attractive vintage condition and is distinguished by its deep blue dial. Its restrained matte finish changes subtly according to the lighting, while the fine vertical and horizontal crosshair lines create a distinctive period appearance.
The applied geometric hour markers feature matching blue central inserts and remain well presented. The silver-tone hands, framed date aperture, Seiko emblem and printed details are clean and clearly legible. The dial is in well-preserved condition overall, with only minor age-related marks visible under close inspection.
The stainless-steel cushion-shaped case shows scratches, small marks and normal signs of previous use. Its contrasting brushed upper surfaces and polished sides remain clearly visible, while the angular case profile and short integrated-style lugs retain their characteristic 1970s appearance.
The original acrylic crystal has been polished and provides a clear view of the dial. Some fine residual scratches, polishing traces and reflections may remain visible at certain angles.
The stainless-steel case back displays scratches and age-related surface wear, while the reference number, serial number and other engraved markings remain legible.
A new black leather strap has been fitted. The 17-jewel automatic movement has been serviced, and all functions are operating correctly.
Please take a close look at the photos before placing a bid, as they are an important part of the description. I do my best to show the condition of each item as clearly as possible.
The item will be shipped from Hungary carefully packaged, with tracking and insurance.
Thank you for your interest and good luck with the auction.
