Prisms of Mondrian
A three-dimensional reinterpretation inspired by Piet Mondrian

Prisms of Mondrian transforms the flat geometry of Mondrian’s visual language into a sculptural composition. Familiar fields of primary color, black and white are lifted from the picture plane, becoming individual physical forms whose varying depths introduce shadow, volume and a changing relationship with light. The work explores what happens when a composition conceived in two dimensions is allowed to occupy space.
