賣家描述

Antique Mappin & Webb Silver-Plated Tazza – Prince's Plate, Triple Deposit – England, circa 1880–1920

An elegant antique silver-plated tazza on a beautifully shaped pedestal, manufactured by the renowned British silversmiths Mappin & Webb of London and Sheffield, dating from the late Victorian to end 19th early 20th-century period.

This refined centerpiece is a fine example of traditional English silver-plated tableware, combining understated elegance with excellent craftsmanship.

Design and decoration

The tazza features a generously proportioned, shallow circular dish with a gently raised, moulded rim. Its beautifully polished surface reflects the light, emphasising the harmonious proportions of the design.

The dish rests upon an elegant central stem, decorated with a subtle moulded collar and widening into a gracefully contoured, circular pedestal base.

The restrained, neoclassical design reflects the influence of Georgian silverware, which remained particularly fashionable during the Edwardian period.

Its timeless silhouette makes this piece equally attractive in traditional interiors and contemporary settings.
