Important Belle Époque gold and silver brooch with large emerald and 30 rose-cut diamonds (two 4mm in gold bezels) - 12g

A splendid and substantial oval antique brooch dating from the Belle Époque / Edwardian period (circa 1900-1915), featuring intricate craftsmanship with floral and scroll motifs.

- Central Stone: Natural emerald, octagonal/emerald cut. Enclosed in a protective beaded yellow gold bezel setting measuring 0.8 x 0.5 cm overall. The gemstone features an intense, saturated, and vivid green color. As typical for antique emeralds of this importance, it shows a dense and characteristic internal "jardin" with deep inclusions and a through-fracture on the lower side, which are stable within the setting. It also shows visible surface wear, scratches, and micro-chipping on the table consistent with its age. The item is sold as a collector's piece intact in its original setting (unsetting the stone is strongly discouraged due to its delicate nature).
