Chunky 18th Dynasty Faience Hathor Amulet Pendant.

• standard, miniature amulets mass-produced for stringing into simple necklaces, this substantial piece possesses a thick, robust profile. Its “chunky” nature indicates it was likely designed as a major pectoral centerpiece or a high-status votive offering.

• Front (Obverse): The front features the classic face of Hathor with stylized bovine ears and a heavy, textured wig that ends in distinct outward curls. The facial features are softly worn but retain their idealized shape, crowned by a wide, flat architectural cornice with a robust suspension loop at the top.

• Back (Reverse): The flat reverse highlights the thick application of the brilliant blue-turquoise glaze, covered in authentic aged crazing, minor surface pitting, and earthy mineral deposits accumulated over millennia.

Microscopic images have been added to display pigmentation and integrity of the core faience.
