924 Turbo version was launched in 1979 and enriched 924 Porsche range with a more powerful engine. The 924 Turbo body was based on that of the 924. The front part had more air vents than the basic model: - vertical air vents in the front grille for brake and oil radiator air intake, - four air vents between the projectors and a NACA air slot right into the bonnet for the aeration and ventilation of the engine housing. The 924 Turbo was fitted with a black spoiler mounted on the rear hood. The aluminium spoke rims were fixed with five wheel nuts instead of four (as in the basic 924 model). The 4-in line 2.0 L supercharged engine installed on the 924 Turbo delivered 170 HP. This 1979 unit is in very good conditions and belonged to a Porsche collector who always kept it with great care and drove it very little. The body is in a nice bright white, without scratches. The bottom is original and very good. The mechanics are perfectly efficient and the powerful 170 HP engine is still able to reward you with great emotions. The odometer reading is 62,000 km which seem real given the perfect condition of the interior and dashboard. However, we cannot prove that. The car is complete with Italian regular documents, user and maintenance manual, original keys and ASI certificate. A rare Porsche model not to be missed, only destined to increase in value.
