He was the only winner of the Knight's cross of the iron cross with Golden oak leaves, swords and diamonds. In total Rudel in 2530 enemy flights as battle pilot destroyed three Soviet ships, about 70 landing vehicles and 519 tanks. He destroyed more than 800 land vehicles, more than 150 anti-aircraft and Pak positions, four armoured trains, numerous bunkers, bridges and supply links. In addition, Rudel scored nine confirmed aerial victories.
