He was a sculptor and statue designer from Limburg.
He lived and worked in Margraten. He designed for the ceramic company
"PERKEO Art atelier GmbH" and made sculptures of babies, children, occupations, miners and wall plastics. Very well known were his series 'miners' in Germany and his series 'Baby statues' in Belgium. Sculptures from Mat Wanders can be found mainly in Limburg in public areas (village squares and the like).
His sculptures were sold and exhibited at fairs in Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt and others.
