Latin text at verso. Dimensions of the leaf: 550 mm x 467 mm Dimensions of the image: 492 mm x 360 mm A GOOD EXEMPLAR OF THIS SCARCE AND SOUGHT-AFTER WORLD MAP. Browning in the lower blank margin. Small very faded inkstain (barely visible) in the lower part of the map (in the left side of the “Terra australis nondum cognita”). Very small crease in the area with the ”Terra australis” (left leaf). Old repair to the upper white part of the folding line. Paper slightly browned. The two leaves are obviously joined together by means of two strips of paper in order to allow the binding of the atlas. Browning in the verso of the map in correspondence of the green color, as usual. A WONDERFUL MAP coming from THE THEATRUM ORBIS TERRARUM. Coloring is very charming and makes this map EXTREMELY DECORATIVE.
