Austrian assault troops had a white spot on the back so that second lines would avoid friendly fire.
The shell and liner are all original and well preserved.
The inside is also marked with the soldier’s name.
The hemp part of the chinstrap has been restored.
A rare and very interesting object, part of an important collection.
