Historic Note
presented at the 1971 Turin Motor Show, the car was born, like many other Zagatos, from an agreement between friends.
In this case the friend was Luigi Chinetti, representative of Ferrari in America, who financed this spider with decidedly angular shapes, almost square in the front and tail, which bears the signature of Giuseppe Mittino, responsible for projects and design in Zagato since 1970.
This Ferrari 3Z Spider, with chassis number #2491GT, began life as a 250 GT SWB California Spyder in 1961 owned by Luigi Chinetti Sr. Today this car returned with the California Spyder SWB body.
