Rare and one of the earliest etchings after the designs by Heemskerck: God appears to Abraham and discusses with him the covenant that he wants to engage with the people of Abraham. In the background are Ishmael and all the male members of the tribe circumcised, one of the true, of the covenant with God. The print is part of a series od six plates on the history of Abraham (New Hollstein 8-13). Printmaker: Dirck Volckertsz.
