Each story is illustrated by pictures, designed in the quaint spirit of Mediaeval times, and printed in colors and gold, by Marcus Ward, illuminator to the Queen.
Condition:
Hardcover, Original red blind-stamped cloth, gilt lettering on a red background, 'Royal' design paper inset. spotting to title; small closed tear to top edge of one of the plates.
Rhymes with music but also with 16 beautiful full page colour plates illustrating the rhymes, and each plate highlighted in gold ink, as befits the work of the "Illuminator to the Queen"
Interior remain in clean, good condition.
2 plates detached as photos.
[12] leaves + 16 colour plates. Dimension: 15.0 x 20.0 cm.
