The Bushmills Steamship Port Cask Reserve is the 2nd edition of this small series honoring the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills, a steamship that served the distillery. This bottling was created for the travel retail market and is therefore not often found in stores. What makes this exquisite Bushmills Steamship Port Cask bottling special is that this triple-distilled Irish single malt matured the entire time in fine port wine casks from Portugal. The casks for this limited edition come from a very renowned port wine producer in the Douro Valley. The Bushmills Steamship Port Cask Reserve is bottled in the very classic 700 ml bottle at 40% ABV.

Nose: Intense aromas of dark, ripe fruits with a hint of port wine sweetness, which are very distinctive on the nose with traces of oak and vanilla.
Taste: Voluminous aromas of dark chocolate with a hint of black coffee and port wine. Underneath are hints of tropical fruits and fresh vanilla. Very complex and with a fantastic balance of flavors, it glides smoothly into the finish.
Finish: Long and with a subtle sweetness that encompasses honey and fruit, this port wine-aged Bushmills Irish Whiskey fades smoothly.

The Bushmills Steamship Collection Rum Cask Reserve is the fourth installment in this collection. With products matured in sherry, port, and bourbon casks, Bushmills once again offers you the opportunity to experience a different side of this brand. This Rum Cask Reserve was inspired by voyages the SS Bushmills took to the Caribbean, where rum is the most popular drink.

Nose: Sweet honey with vanilla and ripe fruit. Added notes of fresh spices.
Taste: Very smooth with a velvety texture. Again very sweet with cane sugar and vanilla. This is followed by the taste of exotic fruits and raisins.
Finish: Medium-long, with a pleasant spice and sweet oak. Notes of sweet rum linger in the finish.
