Marvellous coffee set for 6 persons, produced by Herend - “Rothschild”Collection, well known hand painted pattern with birds perched among branches and scattered insects, gilt banding, in excellent condition.

This pattern was first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.

All pieces are marked with blue Herend shield mark and numbered.
The set include one coffee pot with rose knob lid , one sugar bowl with rose knob lid and handles, one milk jug and six coffee cups with six saucers.
14 pieces are in perfect condition, just the sugar bowl have a chip and scratch, NO other chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see pictures as they are part of description.

1 x Sugar bowl: height 9,5 cm, diameter with handles 12 cm

6 x Coffee cups: diameter with handles 8,5 cm, height: 4,7 cm
6 x Saucers: diameter 11,5 cm, height 2,5 cm
