The Macallan Rare Cask 2024 Release is a celebration of exceptional cask selection, crafted from some of the distillery’s finest hand picked sherry seasoned oak casks. Chosen for their extraordinary richness and complexity, these casks impart the unmistakable signature of sweet raisin, layered with depth and velvety texture. Bottled with natural colour, its deep ruby mahogany hue reflects the mastery and precision behind every drop.

This luxurious single malt opens on the nose with soft vanilla and rich raisin, followed by fresh bursts of apple, lemon, and orange. The palate is dominated by an indulgent wave of sweet raisin, elegantly balanced with vanilla, dark chocolate, and subtle citrus zest. The finish is long, rich, and velvety, leaving lingering impressions of raisin, cocoa, and light fruit.

The 2024 Rare Cask release also highlights The Macallan’s innovative artistry, with a unique collaboration with Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds, who crafted a guitar from the same European oak used to season the casks exploring the deep connections between wood, aroma, flavour, and sound.
