在对杰里高的 masterpiece 的这版当代再读中，我想把浪漫的绝望替换为对现代世界的尖锐批判：盛行且有毒的资本主义。被浪潮啃噬的筏子不再载着寻求拯救的幸存者，而是一群挫败的人类，被财富象征所催眠——金条、保险箱、名牌行李箱、股市屏幕。右侧，写着“Wall Street”的牌子成为背景：金融的伊甸园成为无回头之地。
