Seimchan pallasite. Found in 1967 in Russia near the village of Seymchan, Magadan Region. It was originally classified as a chemical group IIE iron meteorite. Due to its heterogeneous structure, there are samples with and without olivine crystals, i.e. entirely of iron. Structurally, it belongs to coarse octahedrites. What is interesting about it is that it has a high iridium content, which defines it as an anomalous octahedrite. Its relatively stable condition and resistance to rust make it desirable to many collectors. This legendary pallasite is also the material of choice for many jewelers.
