Wunderschöne Keramikvase - Keramik - Japan - Meiji Periode (1868-1912)

DESCRIPTION Beautiful shape and colored ceramic vase called "湖東焼 Kotou-Yaki." Good condition Kotouyaki (湖東焼) originated in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, in the 12th year of Bunsei (1829) and was taken up by the Hikone domain in the 13th year of Tenpo (1842), establishing its system as a domain kiln. It reached its peak during the era of the 13th lord of the domain, Naosuke Ii. After the assassination of Naosuke Ii, due to social unrest, the craftsmen dispersed, and the history of about 20 years came to an end, earning it the name "the phantom pottery". The degree of completion as pottery was very high, the firing technology was of the highest standard in the world, comparable to Jingdezhen and Imari, and the painting was delicate, luxurious, and noble, perfecting the unique taste of Kotouyaki. Currently, efforts to revive Kotouyaki are underway, with Ichishiro Nakagawa building a kiln and continuing trial productions since 1986. NOITICE The lot will be carefully packaged and sent with registered post. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes Customes or delivery company in your country contact you for Customs clearance via phone or email. Please make sure that you could answer the phone. If you don't, the percel will return to me and it cost more double shipping fee for reshipping. I appreciate for your cooperation.
