The allusion and legend of "Zhong Kui catching ghosts" has been spread since ancient times. *Bi Gaoxiu(1941-2010) studied traditional Chinese painting and Yangliuqing painting in the art class organized by Tianjin Artists Association and Tianjin Art Publishing House. Rong Baozhai made woodcut watermarks and studied in the same class as Du Ziling (a famous painter in Tianjin). Because he came from a distinguished family, he was deeply influenced by Peking Opera since he was a child. He started studying Peking Opera in Tianjin at the age of 16 and became a famous Peking Opera actor. He is good at painting gods, Buddhas and Peking Opera characters.
