Kosai Sano, a master of modern Japanese goldsmithing, is known for his precise and outstanding craftsmanship. His works have been selected for 15 traditional craft exhibitions and he is recognized as a regular member of the Japan Crafts Association. In 1983 (Showa 58), he received an Imperial warrant. The work has a very elegant design and high quality.
The bottom is signed by the artist (Honsai Kosai).
Size of the incense burner.
Height approx. 11 cm.
Diameter approx. 9 cm.
Weight 500g.
Dated Heisei period.
Material: bronze.
