Vase - Porzellan, Eine sehr seltene Vase mit der Darstellung von drei schwimmenden schwarzen Karpfen in Satsuma-Ware - Japan (Ohne Mindestpreis)

This is a vase painted by Miyuki Hirota depicting three swimming carp. The large black carp is adorned with gold edging. The graceful swimming posture is depicted so realistically that it seems as if they might leap out at any moment. Additionally, black carp have long been considered auspicious, symbolizing good fortune and an increase in luck. They also hold spiritual significance, with black carp representing the father, red-and-white carp representing the mother, and blue or green carp symbolizing children. Miyuki Hirota is a leading figure in the art of painting Satsuma ware, a representative ceramic of Kagoshima. She is a Satsuma Kinrande painter. She wields her brush at a studio located in the residential area of Kagoshima's Yamate. Satsuma-yaki is a type of Japanese pottery, primarily produced in Kagoshima Prefecture. It utilizes region-specific techniques and materials, including the use of local clay and distinctive glazing methods. Glazes such as yellow, blue, and red are employed, with yellow-glazed pieces being particularly renowned. The pottery is characterized by its robust and powerful designs. As the Meiji era unfolded, the production of Satsuma ware expanded both domestically and internationally. Especially during the Meiji and Taisho eras, Satsuma ware garnered high acclaim at events like the Paris Exposition and the Japan Art and Crafts Exhibition. Center Diameter 23.0 cm Top Diameter 11.8 cm Bottom Diameter 9.5 cm Height 19.0 cm Weight 2150 g Condition: The condition is generally good. Since it is very old, there are scratches, scratches, dull paint, and stains that cannot be removed. Also, there is one spot on the opening of the vase where your nails can get caught. It was kept at home. I just cleaned it properly. There are many photos, so please take a look. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles. Please consider them to have signs of aging, such as stains, scratches, scuffs, tears, discoloration, fading, fraying, and changes in thread color. We will post as many photos as possible to make it easy to understand. As these are old items, we appreciate your understanding before making a purchase. Shipping: The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped from Japan. We will use either DHL or FedEx for a safe and secure transportation. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for delivery, and the package will be shipped with a tracking number.
