Coffee-jug; made of pottery; round base, tapering in at neck then flaring out slightly at rim, with spout on one side; handle attached on side opposite spout from rim to bottom of neck; neck etched with geometric and wavy designs. Bought at auction in UK, previously part of a larger private collection of Middleton Hall, UK with other pottery from Egyptian, Roman and early bronze age periods. This jug is most likely bought at Nizwa, Oman (old tag included). The estate of Middleton Hall has passed through generation after generation (from the 13th century on), nestled in the charming Suffolk countryside and can boast over seven hundred years of historical significance. Condition: Good condition, some small nicks at rim. Consistent with age.
