Οι κεραίες, τα πόδια και η κοιλιά είναι λεπτομερώς αποτυπωμένα σε ολόκληρο το έργο.
Στην Ιαπωνία η ακρίδα ονομάζεται επίσης «inago» και αποτελεί ένα γνωστό έντομο που συναντάται από το καλοκαίρι μέχρι το φθινόπωρο.
Οι κεραίες, τα πόδια και τα φτερά είναι κινητά, επιτρέποντας στο έργο να εκτίθεται με διάφορες εκφράσεις.
