◆50 sen 五拾銭 / Yasukuni Shrine 靖国神社
Size: 6.5×10.5 cm
Number of banknotes: 100
50sen × 100
The Yasukuni Shrine 50 sen is a small government bill issued by the Bank of Japan and depicts the torii gate of Yasukuni Shrine. It was issued on December 8, 1942 and abolished on August 31, 1948

◆10 sen 拾銭 / pigeon 鳩 Hato
Size: 5×10.5 cm
Number of banknotes: 200
10sen × 200
It was issued in 1947 and discontinued in 1953.
On the right side of the front side is "pigeon" , a symbol of peace, and on the left side of the back side is the "National Diet Building", a symbol of democracy.
Since it was produced during the chaotic period immediately after the war, it is characterized by its crude printing with no watermark.
In addition, since it was printed by several private printers, there are differences in the finish of each.

These are bills that were used in Japan just after WWII, and while some are clean, many are damaged.
Please understand the situation.
Old things are so beautiful.

Carefully packaged and shipped from Japan to overseas.
We have other rare items up for current auction. Please check them out.
