The subject depicts the Minotaur, here evoked by his most authentic and often forgotten name: Asterion. Not merely the monster of the labyrinth, but a sacred and tragic figure of Greek mythology, symbolizing instinctual force, the shadow, and the primordial power of the human soul.
The sculpture presents Asterion as an archetype: a silent, intense presence, suspended between ferocity and consciousness, imprisonment and the possibility of transformation.
