Ζωγράφισμένο με χέρι with stained-glass paint on aluminium, this piece reveals a dual visual reading when viewed through lenses of different colours, creating a shifting perception of the same message. Part of a series of 10 works entitled Resistance, it reflects on a world and a society increasingly shaped by division, ideological tension, and opposing narratives.

More than a static object, the piece invites the viewer into an unstable field of interpretation, where meaning changes according to the lens through which it is seen. In that sense, it becomes both image and metaphor: a visual statement about polarity, perspective, and the fragile construction of truth in contemporary life.


Miguel Januário is a Portuguese artist born in 1981. He holds a degree in Communication Design and is currently pursuing a PhD in Design at FBAUP. He worked at the cultural intervention space Maus Hábitos and served as Art Director at Ivity Brand Corp. He is currently Head of Art for Sustainability at CEiiA. He is a member of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP). He is the creator of ±MaisMenos±, an intervention-based project that has become a national and international reference in urban art. He is represented by Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon.

In parallel, he is also the creator of KissMyWalls, a project with a strong urban component related to graffiti, advertising, writing, and intervention, which includes several artistic heteronyms, including Caos and Mr. Dheo, each with its own distinct visual identity and aesthetic. He has exhibited and/or worked with internationally renowned artists such as Vhils, Shepard Fairey (Obey), Futura, Felipe Pantone, Barry McGee, Swoon, AddFuel, Wasted Rita, Icy and Sot, Bordalo II, Mosaik, RAM, Gonçalo Mar, Nomen, among many others.

He has produced innovative and thought-provoking works in both indoor and outdoor contexts, across a wide range of media, from video to sculptural installations, and from painting to performance. Εργαζόμενος με χέρι ζωγραφισμένο με μπογιά βιτρό σε αλουμίνιο, το κομμάτι αυτό αποκαλύπτει διπλή οπτική ανάγνωση όταν παρατηρείται μέσω φακών διαφόρων χρωμάτων, δημιουργώντας μια μεταβαλλόμενη αντίληψη του ίδιου μηνύματος. Μέρος μίας σειράς δέκα έργων με τίτλο Resistance, προσφέρει προβληματισμό για έναν κόσμο και μια κοινωνία όλο και περισσότερο σχηματισμένα από τον διχασμό, την ιδεολογική ένταση και αντίθετες αφηγήσεις.

Περισσότερο από ένα στατικό αντικείμενο, το έργο καλεί τον θεατή να μπει σε ένα ασταθές πεδίο ερμηνείας, όπου το νόημα αλλάζει ανάλογα με τον φακό μέσω του οποίου βλέπεται. Με αυτή την έννοια, γίνεται ταυτόχρονα εικόνα και μεταφορά: μια οπτική δήλωση για πόλωση, προοπτική και την εύθραυστη κατασκευή της αλήθειας στη σύγχρονη ζωή.


Ο Miguel Januário είναι Πορτογάλος καλλιτέχνης που γεννήθηκε το 1981. Κάνει πτυχίο στο Design της Επικοινωνίας και επί του παρόντος διεκπεραιώνει διδακτορικό στο Design στο FBAUP.
