A rare and elegant Art Nouveau faience jug executed in brown earthenware with polychrome floral decoration and subtle gilded highlights.

The bulbous body tapers to a short neck and features a gracefully curved handle. The surface is enriched with stylized flowers and circular motifs, with incised symbols on the handle, neck, and floral details, demonstrating the meticulous craftsmanship of Gallé’s workshop.

The base bears the incised signature “Émile Gallé Nancy Déposé”, accompanied by a miniature jug motif in relief — a distinctive hallmark of authentic Gallé faience.

This piece exemplifies the late 19th-century Nancy faience tradition, combining functional ceramic form with sophisticated decorative artistry. Comparable examples have appeared in prominent European auctions, confirming its rarity and desirability among collectors.
