Η δουλειά μου ριζώνεται στην γεωμετρική αφαίρεση ως τρόπος σκέψης για τις ανθρώπινες σχέσεις και τις κοινωνικές πραγματικότητες. Μέσα από δομημένες μορφές—κύκλους, τρίγωνα, ρομβούς, τετράγωνα—και πεδία χρώματος, εξερευνώ τους συνδέσμους, τις εντάσεις και τα σημεία συνάντησης που προκύπτουν ανάμεσα σε άτομα και κοινότητες στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία.
Κάθε σχήμα φέρει τη δική του συμβολική σημασία: οι κύκλοι αντιπροσωπεύουν τα άτομα, οι ρομβοί δομές κοινωνίας, οι σπασμένες ή ατελείς μορφές υποδηλώνουν εκτοπισμό και περιθωριοποίηση, και τα τρίγωνα προκαλούν ενέργεια, σύγκρουση και μεταμόρφωση. Αυτά τα οπτικά στοιχεία αλληλοενώνονται σε κοινόχρηστους χώρους, αντικατοπτρίζοντας συνέσεις, δυναμικές εξουσίας και ανισότητες, διατηρώντας ταυτόχρονα την ταυτότητά τους.
Η δουλειά μου αγγίζει επίσης τον ανθρώπινο εκτοπισμό και τις μετακινήσεις από τη σύγκρουση, την οικονομική αστάθεια, την έλλειψη ευκαιριών και αδικαιολόγητων συνθηκών διαβίωσης. Αυτές οι διεργασίες μεταφράζονται σε διάσπαση, μετάβαση, αλληλεπικάλυψη και χωρική αναδιαμόρφωση, λειτουργώντας ως μεταφορές προσαρμογής, αντοχής και ανασυγκρότησης.
Με τη χρήση της γεωμετρίας ως παγκόσμιας οπτικής γλώσσας, αποφεύγω την κυριολεκτική αναπαράσταση, αντίθετα οικοδομώ συνθέσεις όπου η ισορροπία, η επανάληψη, η αντίθεση και η ένταση μεταφέρουν σύνθετες κοινωνικές πραγματικότητες. Δεν αναζητώ κλειστές αφήγησεις, αλλά ανοιχτούς χώρους ερμηνείας, όπου η διαφορά δεν διχάζει, αλλά οικοδομεί.
Μέσω αυτών των αφηρημένων δομών, η δουλειά μου προσκαλεί τους θεατές να προβληματιστούν όχι μόνο για τη συνύπαρξη και την ταυτότητα, αλλά και για τις πολιτικές, κοινωνικές και ανθρώπινες δυνάμεις που διαμορφώνουν τον κόσμο μας.

Biography:
Miriam CHiera is an Italian-Argentine contemporary artist based in Senigallia, Italy. She studied Interior Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina, and also studied art at the Verona Academy of Art, Italy.
She was born in a small town in Argentina, surrounded by vast expanses of countryside, to a family of Italian immigrant farmers. Although her roots are steeped in Italian culture, her art carries the spirit of the land where she grew up. Small marks and symbols are scattered across her canvases, interweaving cubism, constructivism and abstract geometry with the essence of her work: the language of color.
Surrounded by the immensity of nature, with infinite horizons and a deep sense of freedom, she found inspiration in large-scale creations. Although she studied Interior Design at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, her path to painting began in her early years, it was during her residency in the city of Romeo and Juliet, where she studied at the Accademia di Arte in Verona, when she realized that painting was her true calling.
Miriam CHiera's works have been selected to be exhibited in international competitions, galleries, museums and events.

Today she lives in Senigallia, Italy, after traveling through many cities: Milan, Verona, Ancona, Barcelona, ​​​Manchester, Buenos Aires, Rosario and her hometown, Ceres. Each place has left its mark on her art, shaping the vision and expression that flows through her work.

Artist Statement:
A work of art is far more than a fashionable object, a fleeting trend, or a decorative element designed to solve a spatial issue. I create paintings with the hope that they become a window through which you can tell yourself a story-where the art interacts with your life in a meaningful way.
Each piece carries its own imprint, a soul, an energy that transforms it into a living presence within your space. My aspiration is for my art to move you, to evoke a desire to possess it, to immerse yourself in its essence, and to enjoy its company each morning as you stand before it.
