5er Set Arkana Chelsea Safari Sessel – Maurice Burke, Falkirk Schottland, ca. 1963–1968

Zum Verkauf steht ein vollständiges Set aus fünf Chelsea Safari Sesseln von Arkana, dem schottischen Designmöbelhersteller aus Falkirk. Die Sessel wurden vom kanadischen Designer Maurice Burke entworfen und tragen die originale geprägte Kennzeichnung: „Arkana, Falkirk, Scotland – Made in Great Britain – registered design 924.933 & 924.934". Die Stempel belegen, dass es sich um frühe Originale aus der ersten Produktionsphase vor 1968 handelt – bevor Arkana nach Bath, England übersiedelte.

Der klassische Safarisessel-Entwurf zeigt einen schlanken Teakholzrahmen mit hängendem Sitz und Armlehnen aus schwarzem Kunstleder. Das Kunstleder befindet sich in sehr gutem Vintage-Zustand. Die Teakholzgestelle sind sauber und stabil.

Set of 5 Arkana Chelsea Safari Chairs — Maurice Burke, Falkirk Scotland, ca. 1963–1968

A rare and complete set of five Chelsea Safari Chairs, designed by the Canadian designer Maurice Burke and manufactured by Arkana in Falkirk, Scotland. The original embossed mark on the underside reads "Arkana, Falkirk, Scotland – Made in Great Britain – patent applied for – registered design 924.933 & 924.934", confirming these are early production pieces from before 1968, the year Arkana relocated to Bath, England.

The chairs feature the classic campaign chair silhouette with a solid teak frame and deep black faux leather sling seats. The faux leather upholstery is in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age. The teak frames are clean and stable.

Sets of five matching pieces are exceptionally rare on the collector's market.
