Dial and Hands

At the three o'clock position, a framed date aperture is perfectly magnified by a distinctive, rectangular cyclops integrated into the crystal. The dial text, including "AUTOMATIC 23 JEWELS" and "SWISS" at the bottom, remains incredibly crisp and fully intact. Condition-wise, the dial is remarkably well-preserved, showing only the faintest, microscopic signs of age-consistent patina upon close inspection, free from distracting moisture damage or heavy spotting. The dauphine-style hour and minute hands feature a central black accent line, showing light, honest oxidation that perfectly matches the vintage character of the piece, while the slender sweep seconds hand reaches precisely to the outer minute track.

Case and Crystal
The 35-millimeter stainless steel case features a timeless, well-proportioned silhouette with a smooth polished bezel and elegantly tapered lugs. The transition between the case flanks and the lugs remains well-defined, indicating that the watch has been carefully worn and preserved over the decades. The original Bulova-signed crown is present and features sharp, easily grippable fluting. Turning the watch over reveals a screw-down caseback adorned with the iconic Bulova waterproof ballerina/diver motif, which remains crisp and deep.
