Beautiful matching pair of vintage silver-plated spoons featuring intricate floral wreaths and leafy motifs encircling a blank oval cartouche on the scalloped, fluted bowls. The elegant handles display classic geometric and foliate patterns.
Marked on the back with the well-known J.S.D.(James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, England) maker’s mark, along with other standard electroplated silverplate stamps. James Dixon & Sons was a renowned Sheffield manufacturer of quality silverplate from the 19th to 20th century.
Approximate date & place of production: Late 19th to early 20th century (Victorian/Edwardian era), Sheffield, England.
Perfect for: Collectors of antique flatware, elegant tea or dessert service, or as decorative display pieces. The blank cartouches allow for custom engraving if desired.
Condition: Very Good vintage condition with some expected light wear and patina from age—polishes up beautifully.
