Lot Description
Up for auction is an authentic silver denar struck during the reign of King Béla II (known as Béla the Blind), a representative piece of 12th-century Central European medieval numismatics.
Obverse: A large central cross over an inner pearled circle. Each of the four quadrants contains a globule (dot). The outer border features stylized radial motifs or wedges.
Reverse: A smaller cross within two concentric circles, surrounded by decorative "feather" motifs or short radial lines.
