Vintage 1950s Tudor Dress Watch - Early Tudor Rose Logo - Manual Wind - Running

On offer is a beautiful and highly classic vintage Tudor manual-wind dress watch dating back to the 1950s. This piece captures the golden era of Tudor with its highly coveted early "Small Rose" logo and elegant mid-century styling.

Dial & Hands
The dial is an attractive cream/white tone featuring applied gold Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12, flanked by matching gold dagger hour markers. The dial featuring a warm even patina shows minor signs of aging around the numerals 12, 9 and 3 and around two markers, but this escapes the naked eye. The overall impression of the dial is crisp and clean with a clear logo and signature. It features the original gold leaf/sword hands and gold center seconds hand.

Case & Crystal
The stainless steel case (34mm in diameter, excluding the crown) features rounded bezels and gently curved lugs. It shows light honest wear with a scuff mark on the left side (see photo), but retains its original strong geometry and lug profiling. The domed acrylic crystal is in great shape with only slight scratches along the edge at 11 o'clock, again invisible to the naked eye (see photo).

Movement & Functionality
Powered by a Swiss manual movement (Tudor Caliber 59), the watch is currently running and keeping good/decent time. However, as with all vintage timepieces a routine service is recommended for daily wear, and future running condition is not guaranteed.

The watch comes mounted on a black leather strap that perfectly complements its formal aesthetic.
