A truly exceptional and visually arresting specimen of Baltic amber from the historic Gdańsk region, exhibiting the rare and highly sought-after “Dragon Skin” opalized effect. This piece stands out for its intense internal play of color, where deep electric blues contrast dramatically against a fiery orange-red amber body.
The surface reveals natural tension fractures and layered internal structures that create the distinctive “dragon skin” appearance — a complex network of reflective planes and micro-textures that interact dynamically with light. As illumination changes, the specimen displays vivid flashes of blue, green, and gold, giving it an almost otherworldly, iridescent character.
The amber shows excellent translucency, allowing light to penetrate and amplify the internal optical phenomena. The interplay between the warm outer tones and the cool opalescent core produces a striking visual depth rarely encountered in Baltic material.
