Model History:
This Longines Automatic reference 1501 is a refined vintage dress watch from the early 1970s, a period when Longines was combining traditional Swiss watchmaking with more modern case shapes and dial designs. The reference 1501 features a balanced stainless steel case with a wide brushed bezel, sharp lugs, and a clean silver sunburst dial, giving the watch a restrained but distinctly 1970s character.
The Longines calibre 506 is an automatic movement with date function and hand-winding capability, belonging to Longines’ in-house automatic movement family of the period. With its signed crown, original Longines buckle, and elegant silver dial, this is a very wearable vintage Longines with strong period charm.

The caseback engravings and reference number remain visible. The signed Longines crown is present. The silver sunburst dial is well-preserved and attractive, with light age-related patina and small marks visible under close inspection. The hands and applied hour markers show mild ageing. The original acrylic crystal has been polished and presents well, though a few small remaining imperfections are still visible.
