"La Trahison"

Two adult male figures reclining together
upon an ornate chaise longue, completely nude,
one surrendered in stillness, the other present
with quiet and absolute possession.

A third figure — a woman in a deep green silk gown,
hair pinned in a formal Victorian chignon —
appears in the doorway behind them,
one hand gripping the door frame,
body frozen in the act of entering.

She does not cry. She does not speak.
She simply sees.

It is the silence of the painting that is
most devastating. Nothing is declared.
Everything is known.

Desire, identity, betrayal, silence
and the irreversibility of knowledge.

Tiago Pimenta (1991) is a Portuguese artist
with a deep passion for the human body and its
capacity to express emotion, tension and narrative.
Exploring that language on canvas is,
for him, the most honest form of creation.

Beyond his printed works, the artist expresses
his creativity through the brush, never confined
to a fixed style — moving between academic
figuration, realism and freer visual languages,
aalways driven by the same obsession:
the human body as a territory of meaning.

In his digital works, the artistic vision is
first developed through a conceptual sketch
of the artwork, progressing through refinement
using tools such as Adobe and AI, under human
artistic direction and refinement. Each work
also receives a manual finishing intervention
through individual hand-applied artistic varnishing.
