Collection of 7 Phylactery (Tefillin) bags, all pre-ww2, inscribed in Hebrew, with varying designs and types.

Phylacteries are especially treasured in Jewish tradition as the second most holy relic (after the Torah scroll), and they are generally housed in care and respect with beautiful and handsomely decorated velvet or leather bags, which are likewise treated as one would treat a holy artifact.

The reference to the holy city of Jerusalem is extremely popular on articles of Judaica, the city which is holy to all faiths, bears a unique reference especially with Judaism, as the city which housed the Holy Temple of Solomon.

This very desirable collection comes from a collector who spent a decade compiling many different styles and sizes.
