Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή

Elegant Silver-Plated Champagne Cooler / Ice Bucket – French Work, Mid-20th Century

A refined and timeless champagne cooler or ice bucket, crafted in silver-plated metal and bearing a maker’s mark (PE / MA / J with star in a square), attributable to a French silversmith yet to be fully identified.

The piece features a beautifully balanced and slightly flared body with a softly shaped rim, resting on a circular base. The elegant side handles are finely cast with shell and scroll motifs, adding a subtle touch of classic French decorative style, reminiscent of Louis XV influences.

Its proportions make it ideal for practical use: it comfortably accommodates a bottle of champagne or wine, making it both a functional and decorative table piece.

The interior shows warm wear consistent with age and use, with copper slightly visible at the base, which is typical for antique and vintage silver-plated items and adds to its authentic character.

Condition:
In good vintage condition with light surface scratches from normal use. Interior base shows minor copper exposure. Silver plated outside is still in good condition. Please refer to the photos as they form part of the description.

Dimensions:
Height: approx. 19 cm
Diameter: approx. 19 cm
Width including handles: approx. 24 cm
Weight: approx. 1285 grams

A charming and versatile piece, perfect for elegant table settings, entertaining, or as a decorative accent in a refined interior.
