Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 standard prime lens (SR/MC mount), tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 is a fast standard prime for Minolta's manual-focus SR mount, introduced in 1966 with the arrival of the MC (meter coupling) line. In Minolta's nomenclature the "PF" suffix denotes a six-element, five-group optical design, a slightly retro-focus-leaning double-Gauss variant. Known for smooth rendering, pleasant out-of-focus areas and solid all-metal construction, it appeared in several cosmetic versions through the late 1960s. It is a favourite among users adapting Rokkor glass to modern mirrorless bodies.
Mount & Compatibility
This lens uses the Minolta SR mount (MC/MD series) and is a manual-focus lens for Minolta manual-focus film SLRs (SR-T, X-700, XD, etc.).
Note: The Minolta SR (MC/MD) mount is NOT the same as the later Minolta/Sony A autofocus mount and will not fit those bodies. On mirrorless it can be used with an MD-to-mirrorless adapter.
IMPORTANT — Please read carefully:
The rear element shows light haze caused by coating etching. It has little effect in normal shooting, but strong backlight may slightly reduce contrast. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
Condition: USED — Good
Pre-owned, with signs of use and a minor optical flaw (light haze on the rear element), as detailed below.
