Dial and Hands
The dial of this Spacewing is a masterclass in texture and subtle color play, presenting in outstanding, incredibly clean condition. The surface features a distinct horizontal brushed metallic finish that catches the light beautifully, shifting from bright silver to deep grey depending on the angle. The dial furniture is elaborate and meticulously preserved, featuring applied faceted steel indices with black central inserts that provide excellent legibility. At twelve o'clock sits Rado's iconic free-spinning anchor logo, set against a vibrant red background. This is perfectly balanced by the framed date aperture at three o'clock, which displays a striking all-red numeral. Adding a brilliant touch of unexpected color is the finely printed light blue minute track circling the outer edge. The applied Rado typography and sharply printed black serif "SpaceWing" text remain perfectly intact. The steel baton hands feature matching black inserts and are in excellent condition. Upon close visual inspection, the dial is remarkably free of significant spotting, moisture marks, or damage, standing as a stellar example of vintage preservation.

Case and Crystal
The 36mm stainless steel cushion case boasts a robust, architectural profile highly representative of the era. The case displays a sophisticated interplay of finishes, with clearly defined transitions between the radially brushed upper lug surfaces and the highly polished case flanks and bezel. The factory lines and lug profiles remain sharp and well-defined. The case shows honest, age-consistent wear, including light surface scratches and minor handling marks primarily concentrated on the polished bezel, but it avoids any signs of heavy, shape-altering polishing. The original Rado anchor-signed crown is present and crisp. Turning the watch over reveals a screw-down caseback deeply engraved with the Rado Water-Sealed seahorse medallion, flanked by clear reference and serial numerals. The watch is fitted with a high-domed acrylic crystal that enhances the vintage aesthetic, exhibiting some minor age-related micro-crazing and light wear along the outer edges visible under harsh lighting, while remaining clear over the dial.

Movement
Inside beats a Swiss-made, 25-jewel Rado-signed automatic movement. The gold-tone rotor and bridges are visually bright and well-preserved, featuring the engraved Rado anchor logo and script. The movement presents cleanly with normal, superficial marks on the winding mass consistent with its age and operation. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. The timegrapher results indicate a highly impressive performance of -2 to 6 seconds per day with strong amplitude.

Strap
Fitted with a handsome black leather strap featuring an alligator grain pattern and contrasting white stitching. The strap complements the metallic and black elements of the dial perfectly, providing a comfortable and refined wearing experience.

Excellent vintage condition. This Spacewing balances an outstandingly preserved, highly attractive dial with a case that shows natural, honest wear. The dial is the clear standout, remaining exceptionally clean, legible, and visually striking with no notable flaws. The stainless steel case retains its structural integrity and original alternating finishes, showing only acceptable vintage surface marks. The movement is exceptionally healthy and performing at a very high level.
