輪島塗Wajima-nuri is one of Japan’s most highly regarded lacquerware traditions, originating in 輪島Wajima City, 石川県Ishikawa Prefecture. Renowned for its durability, multiple layers of natural urushi lacquer, and meticulous hand-finishing techniques, Wajima lacquerware has been produced for centuries and remains highly appreciated by collectors worldwide.
This elegant 輪島塗Wajima-nuri lacquer vase features a refined cylindrical form finished in deep glossy black lacquer. The surface is decorated with three graceful cranes rendered in gold-colored maki-e style decoration, creating a striking contrast against the dark background.
