Dial and Hands
The dial of this Seiko Crown is a visual masterpiece, characterized by a deep, intricate crosshatch pattern that catches the light beautifully from every angle. The typography features the elegant "Seiko Crown" script at twelve o'clock and a serif "Diashock 19 Jewels" print at six o'clock, both remaining crisp and fully intact. Time is indicated by applied gold-tone faceted baton indices that provide striking depth against the textured background, paired perfectly with sharp gold-tone dauphine hands. Upon close inspection, the dial is in stunning vintage condition, remaining exceptionally clean with no visible spotting, moisture stains, or surface damage, preserving the factory texture perfectly. The hands and indices display a very light, attractive age-consistent patina that complements the warm tones of the watch.

Case and Crystal
The 35mm case features a slender profile with sweeping lugs and a thin polished bezel, maximizing the visual presence of the dial. Covered by a classic domed acrylic crystal, the case is constructed with a 20-micron electro-gold plated finish, as indicated by the "FRONT EGP 20M" engraving on the caseback. The case exhibits honest signs of vintage wear, with visible plating loss, edge wear, and tarnishing concentrated on the undersides of the lugs and the case flanks near the caseback seam. The knurled gold-tone crown shows consistent softening from years of manual winding. The stainless steel snap-on caseback is well-preserved, displaying clear factory engravings on the exterior, while the interior reveals the serial number D0C0686 alongside fascinating hand-engraved Japanese watchmaker service marks.

Movement
Inside the watch beats the robust Seikosha caliber 560 manual wind movement, featuring 19 jewels. The movement architecture is clean and traditional, with the "SEIKOSHA" and "19 JEWELS" text proudly stamped across the primary bridge. The movement presents well visually, with clean plates and bridges showing only minor age-related surface oxidation on the winding wheels. Running in vintage operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the era. +38s to +43s/day.

Strap
The watch is fitted with a black textured leather strap featuring a distinctive scale pattern and contrast gold-tone perimeter stitching, secured by a gold-tone pin buckle.

Condition
This timepiece is presented in good vintage condition. The true highlight is the near-mint, exceptionally clean textured dial, which has survived the decades beautifully.
