On offer is an antique handmade decorative kelim with dye coloured wool used for taint entrance decoration (the last image)
Dates back to around 1960-1970 this kelim has been knotted to decorate the tent used by the tribe in Afghanistan / panjshir county.
Tent had an important role in tribe life as they migrate twice a year from colder places to warmer ones and viceversa while tent played an important role for protecting the family
The kilim is identical in both sides like somak kelims technique.
Dark red and black seen on this kelim are the specifics of kelims knotted in Afghanistan.
