"Fondly had these monarchs dreamed one day their kingdoms to unite." King Stefan and King Hubert have been fast friends for decades and want to unite their kingdoms through the marriage of Hubert's son Phillip and Stefan's daughter Aurora. It appears that their dreams might have come true in this 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing from Sleeping Beauty. The kingS were animated by Disney Legends Milt Kahl and John Lounsbery among other Disney animators. Kahl also helped to finalize the characters' designs and animate Prince Phillip and Samson. These graphite with color pencil drawing was created for key moment in the film: about 45:03 after Phillip tells his father he's finally fallen in love with a girl. Hubert immediately assumes that the girl is Aurora and he's not wrong, though Phillip still believes his fateful meeting in the woods was with a peasant girl.
Numbered in the lower right, the drawing is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint age-related toning.
