Get your hands on this serviced vintage Seiko Crown J15011 manual-winding watch from April 1963, featuring a silver sunburst crosshair dial, stainless steel case, polished crystal, new leather strap and 3-month functionality guarantee.
Model History:
Introduced in 1959, the Seiko Crown was one of the company’s most refined hand-wound watches of its era. Produced by Suwa Seikosha, the Crown succeeded the Seiko Marvel and represented an important step in Seiko’s development of larger, more accurate in-house movements. Its technical and aesthetic foundations also contributed to the creation of the first Grand Seiko, introduced in 1960.
This reference J15011 dates from April 1963 and is powered by the 21-jewel Seikosha calibre 560. The movement incorporates Seiko’s Diashock shock-protection system, while its traditionally proportioned stainless steel case, domed crystal and sharply faceted hour markers create the restrained appearance characteristic of early-1960s Japanese dress watches. The silver sunburst dial is distinguished by a fine crosshair detail and elegant script lettering.
