Description: Up for auction is a highly rare and collectible piece of Asian silversmithing history: a complete Djokja (Yogyakarta) .800 silver dessert/tea set, precisely dated to circa 1937 during the Late Dutch East Indies colonial period. This set consists of 6 finely crafted forks and 6 spoons.

What makes this lot exceptional for serious collectors is the original presentation box, which still retains its crisp, antique shop sticker from the luxury colonial jeweler: "Toko Mas SIONG LIE - Garoet" (located at the historical Telagabodasstraat 75, Garut, Indonesia). Original boxes with pre-WWII colonial "-straat" labels are extremely scarce and considered museum-grade memorabilia.
