"Luna Luna" was a project organized by Andre Heller for "A Fair with Modern Art" that took place in 1987 in Hamburg. There were about 30 artists participating in this project, all creating objects for the fair, including Keith Haring. His idea was a Merry Go Round for which he created a few posters and the Pop-Up sculpture. This was the only object he produced during his career – and it was undoubtedly in memory of his hero, Andy Warhol, who had created his famous "Index Book" twenty years earlier. The edition of the Pop-Up 3D was 2000 copies. Most of these were destroyed immediately after the fair in an accident. The supplier bought all remaining copies at the time. The total number of still available copies would be about 100 to 200 pieces.
